Job Description:

This leadership position will support the growing needs of UAB Medicine in the realm of informatics. With continued growth of systems supported by pharmacy informatics, the growing footprint of UAB Medicine, and the approaching transition to Epic, this role will be essential to the success of the informatics team, whose ultimate goal is to support the operations of UAB Medicine clinically and financially while promoting efficiency and patient safety.

Responsibilities of this position include:

-        Supervise informatics team workload assignments, considering priority, timelines, and resources.

-        Collaborate among interdisciplinary teams, with a focus on systems and human-system interaction within the medication use processes.

-        Advocate for pharmacy and organizational goals and initiatives within technology implementations.

Lead with an organizational approach focused on consistently maintaining high levels of safety and performance amid complex systems by proactively identifying and mitigating potential failures.

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and two (2) years of experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Pharmacist by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required.

Preferred\:
-Experience:

            -Minimum of 3 years pharmacist experience

            -Minimum of 3 years informatics experience

            -Experience successfully managing complex, multidisciplinary projects

-Skills\: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Knowledge\:
Expertise in informatics and project management
